There’s most always a head turn at the end of a meeting, even if it’s just a one-word statement or 👍, be that “fine,” “ok,” “sure,” or a head nod.  Perhaps it’s a remembrance or a sharing-caring, even an “I love you,” or ❤️ or “eight” as applicable, before we go.
Although not placed at the end of a letter, God’s author here makes a conclusive statement, even a summation of what we are to learn from God Himself, as if saying, “Before we go, “Let love be genuine.  Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.  Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.””
‭‭Father, thank You for revealing Your own love, sacrificial on the Cross, that we might be a part of You, transcending physical and sin boundaries unto spiritual and holiness.  As You are love, teach us to so love You and then others, even as difficult as this may be for all of us. May our growth in love be honorable to You.
Before you go and close the doors of February and Valentine’s Day,
- “Let (your) love be genuine.
- Abhor what is evil [anything that counters God’s character and words],
- hold fast [cling] to what is [truly] good [from God’s perspective].
- Love one another with brotherly affection [as part of one family].
- Outdo one another in showing honor.”

living w/god: Baptismal speech

I am Desire and this is my son Enrique Gianluca. Today, I am here to share with you how God has changed my life.

For a long time, I wondered why, why things were not happening the way I wanted them to happen, after all, I was working hard, I was providing, I was strong, and I trusted myself.  As I looked for answers, I turned to the world, but the world was not providing answers.  I found myself blind, hopeless, and disoriented, and I lost all perspective. In my desperation, I turned to Christ, and I asked Him to come into my life and free me from this burden and guide me to live for him.

It was not until God heard my request that I received answers. The day that He knocked on my door and I opened my heart to Him was the day I understood I inflicted this pain on myself because, for a long time, I trusted myself instead of trusting Him, I relied on myself when I should rely on His promise. Jesus said on Matthew 11: 28-29 “Come upon Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me. For I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul, and My yoke is easy, and my burden is light

When God came into my life, he offered me a new beginning, a new life, and I embraced it with open arms because for the very first time, I understood that I am not alone and I should not be afraid because everything is under His control, not mine, and so I trust Him, and today I declare Him as my savior, my refuge, and my strength.
