We all have them, choices.  Actually, many times a day, and we make them as we may; often on our own, sometimes with a groan, others with excite!-ment.  But they are still choices.  Imagine if we were wise enough to bring God Himself as Creator, in all of His majesty and power into our confidence in making these choices. We’d be right all of the time!, if we were obedient to His commands and counsel.
Imagine further, if He were to remind us ahead of time, before it’s time to make each choice.  Setting an alarm for us, giving us time and times for proper preparation.
There is one with whom He posses.  In fact, He has her calling out with a voice we can understand as we hear her. She says, “All the words from my mouth are righteous; none of them are deceptive or perverse.  I love those who love me, and those who search for me find me.  I walk in the ways of righteousness, along the paths of justice, The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His creation, before His works of long ago.”  So, how do we meet up with her, and who is she?  Simply by the asking, for “if any of you lacks wisdom, they should ask God — who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly — and it will be given to you.”  Yes, her name is wisdom.
Father, You are always present, with us, through Jesus as Your Son, and through Your indwelling Holy Spirit, as we are in-Christ.  Help us in our naivety.  Remind us Spirit-to-spirt to rely and trust You in Your wisdom.
Choices have a beginning.  “The fear (honor and trust) of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight.  His praise endures forever.”  Begin each day with Him, strapping on His wisdom, that you, too, might have good insight from His written thoughts.  May they “dwell in you, richly in all wisdom,” for your every choice.

living w/god: Baptismal speech

I am Desire and this is my son Enrique Gianluca. Today, I am here to share with you how God has changed my life.

For a long time, I wondered why, why things were not happening the way I wanted them to happen, after all, I was working hard, I was providing, I was strong, and I trusted myself.  As I looked for answers, I turned to the world, but the world was not providing answers.  I found myself blind, hopeless, and disoriented, and I lost all perspective. In my desperation, I turned to Christ, and I asked Him to come into my life and free me from this burden and guide me to live for him.

It was not until God heard my request that I received answers. The day that He knocked on my door and I opened my heart to Him was the day I understood I inflicted this pain on myself because, for a long time, I trusted myself instead of trusting Him, I relied on myself when I should rely on His promise. Jesus said on Matthew 11: 28-29 “Come upon Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me. For I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul, and My yoke is easy, and my burden is light

When God came into my life, he offered me a new beginning, a new life, and I embraced it with open arms because for the very first time, I understood that I am not alone and I should not be afraid because everything is under His control, not mine, and so I trust Him, and today I declare Him as my savior, my refuge, and my strength.
